What I’ve Been Working On…
Working full time makes it difficult for me to devote as much time as I want to writing. I try to write something at least every day, and if I don’t write then I am looking up images for inspiration on my mood boards.
I’ve been slowly working through The Last Heir of Xenia with a few friends that have been kind enough to beta-read it for me. I am posting chapters as I go on here, so if you are interested in reading it, please consider subscribing to gain access to that and more behind the scenes material.
I feel like I am always working on poems. They help get me through some rough patches, while also battling writer’s block whenever that occurs, which is often. But recently I have been working on more short stories. I am working on a spooky one, special for Halloween. I hope that one will be a special treat for y’all.
I also have been outlining a new story, The Flame of Ilythria. It will take place in the same world as Last Heir, but it will be a completely new cast of characters. I got inspiration from one of my short stories that I had written, and I wanted to expand upon it. Thus, Flame was born. I’ve been working really hard on my mood board on pinterest. My favorite part of the entire process is character development. Breathing life into a new FMC and MMC has been a lot of fun. I even have the first chapter written.
I know this is a short entry this week, but I’m hoping to add more chapters of Last Heir to the sub page, new wallpapers, and that short story for Halloween.
