Finding My Rhythm Again
I bet you have noticed that my presence on social media and the blog have been sparse this past week and a half. There is definitely a reason for that. I have officially finished my first two weeks at my new job and it has been so much fun and a whirlwind at the same time. I don’t know how two weeks have passed, but it feels like I haven’t even blinked.
I have been busy both at work and at home, still trying to balance life and time to write. It seems impossible with my niece’s birthday coming up and I’m working on a crochet stuffed animal for her. She has turned 5 and when asked what her favorite animal is, she stated donkey–so you can probably guess what I am busy trying to crochet!
I am still new to crochet, but I have figured out that I am better suited to patterns and amigurumi style crochet. I have tried to do a single stitch to create a blanket, and I just couldn’t get it. But these little animals I can do!
I think this week will probably also be light, because we will be preparing to travel to see my family in Kentucky. I also have quite a few extracurriculars that I want to participate in this week after work that will definitely take my time away from posting. My hope is that I’ll have at least 2 if not 3 posts this week.
Work has been a lot of fun too. I have my costume ready for Halloween, and I am actually looking forward to passing out candy this year. It is such a difference from where I was even a few months ago, let alone a year ago. This healing journey has been long and hard, and I still have a lot to go.
Thank you for being there with me along the process! I’ll keep sharing little updates as I find my footing again. Thanks for sticking around through all the quiet moments–it means the world.
