Xenia House Colors
I feel like this was probably just busy work to keep me from doing what I should be doing—editing my story. Instead I was busy creating background information that may never even be included in the book. I think Raye mentions once her house colors? Possibly?? Either way, I wanted to share the coat of arms that I have made for each house. I hope that they add depth to the world I’ve created, and I hope that you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them.
House Greathorn
Stone Territory is nestled in the Anzar Mountains protected by their patron Goddess, Notia. She is the goddess of the hunt, falconry, and messengers. Their house colors are Sapphire Blue and Slate Gray. I also wanted to feature pickaxes, since this is the territory that mines gems and essentially controls the kingdom’s economy. I even modeled them after a more medieval pickaxe.
House Monitheis
Water Territory sits between Isaryl Keep and the Anzar Mountains. They are best known for the Mirror Lake, which stretches out along the horizon. This territory is known for it’s contribution of agriculture to the kingdom, and most notably their House and Court live in the Mirror, underwater. Their patron god, Ryteus, has granted them gills, giving them the ability to breathe underwater as above ground. I wanted to include Mer-people as a nod to their nobility. The trident is their weapon of choice, along with the rake representing agriculture. Their house colors are Cerulean and Coral.
House Drazix
Fire Territory sets on the opposite coast as Water, with the Anzar Mountains separating the two. Off the coast of Fire is the Isle of Nether, an island made up of volcanoes—where Inox will later partner with Smo and Azura create dragons. The house colors are Red, Orange, and Yellow. Fire Territory was known for weapon forging (before the uprising).
House Bainum
This would be Raye’s colors before the uprising. Their house is represented with the Phoenix, and the colors Forest Green and Gold. There is also a crown at the top that would show their House as the ruling family. There is also a banner with a motto (subscribers will get to see this realized!). The inclusion of the colors of Stone, Water, and Fire territory are to show unity above all else.
