Skincare
I have super dry skin, and often suffer from eczema breakouts. I’m especially vulnerable in the winter. Plus, I am of a certain age where I need to be utilizing as much moisturization as I can! I also like to use my African net sponge with antibacterial soap every-other-day to help keep my skin soft, and from smelling (especially in the summer months). When I take my makeup off at night I always wash my face with makeup cleaner then regular face wash. I also reapply most of my AM moisturizers, replacing sunscreen with a retinol eye cream. Ya girl is in her thirties, okay!

Girlie-Pop Stuff
I really have tried a lot of different accessories and makeup over the years. I am now at a point in my life where I just order the same thing, no matter what. This section will include things like Jewelry, Hair accessories, Bags, Shoes, you know…girlie-pop things!
Hair:
I have very thick hair, and sometimes it is hard to find good hair products that will stand the test of time, AND just holding up the weight of my hair. I absolutely love the new spiral pony-tail holders, and Teleties is my favorite. They don’t leave “pony-tail lines” and they don’t hurt to pull out like regular elastics. Plus they are VERY durable. I haven’t had one break on me yet and I’ve had them almost a year now. I also really like to wear headbands. The bigger, the better!
Jewelry:
I do not tend to wear a lot of jewelry. I have recently started re-collecting earrings. I’m going to put a few things I would like to have, but don’t have yet, and some things I have bought and love!
Clothes, Shoes, Bags…OH MY!
I used to be more daring in how I dressed, but now at this point in my life I look for things that fit, can be a staple for my closet, and have long durability. The best jeans I’ve found for bigger women that last (you know the chub rub holes) are from Lane Bryant. I know it’s not glamorous, but they fit and they get the job done. I also used to wear so many cute shoes, but I need arch support now guys. I’m going to again include things I actually own and use, plus a few that I daydream of owning.
Fun Things for the Book-Lover in your Life!
I had way too much fun curating this list. I cannot recommend enough the e-reader arm and auto-page turner. Those make reading in bed or under covers so much easier. Everything on this list is guaranteed to make a bookworm smile.
I had so much fun curating this list, I hope this inspires you during this holiday season. (and for anyone shopping for me ;-) LOL!) Let me know if you have any unique book-ish gift recs down below. Happy Holiday Shopping!
