What I’m Reading…
I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump these past few weeks, but as 2025 comes to a close, there are a few things I’ve been slowly making my way through.
Cursed Daughters by Oyinkan Braithwaite — This book follows generations of women who are cursed to always be searching for love. Think Practical Magic (1998). It’s beautifully written, but the subject matter has been a little heavy on my heart, so I’ve been taking my time with it.
Good Spirits by B.K. Borison — A cozy Christmas romance, which I absolutely love to devour this time of year. It’s the perfect balance to some heavier reads.
The Nativity Story — I plan on reading the complete Nativity story in the Bible. I recently watched Mary: Mother of Jesus on Netflix and loved it. It’s been several years since I’ve read the story in full, and it felt like the right time to return to it.
I’ve also been watching plenty of cozy Christmas movies. Hot Frosty was very cute, and I recently watched Redeeming Love. It’s not exactly a holiday movie, but it is heartwarming—perfect to pair with a cup of hot tea on a snowy afternoon.
I have a few other titles waiting on my Kindle that I’m hoping to get to as well, likely next week. I’ll be taking the week of Christmas off from both the blog and social media. I may still pop in here and there, but rest and presence will be the priority.
